The arrival of Omni-Man and Peacemaker as guest characters in Mortal Kombat 1 stirred up excitement among fans, but another teased guest character has yet to make his debut – Homelander from The Boys. The recent MK1 Pro Kompetition provided a quick glimpse of Homelander in action, and the teaser managed to capture both excitement and unease, mirroring the source material’s tone.

Clocking in at just 45 seconds, the Homelander teaser is a whirlwind of action and suspense. The teaser kicks off with a unique intro scene where the supervillain takes a moment to quench his thirst, setting the stage for what’s to come. Highlighting Homelander’s powers, the preview showcases two of his Fatalities – one utilizing his deadly heat vision and the other incorporating a commercial plane overhead in a creative and gruesome manner.

One of the main questions surrounding the upcoming character is the identity of the voice actor behind Homelander. While the character model closely resembles actor Antony Starr, Starr himself mentioned on Instagram that he would not be voicing Homelander in Mortal Kombat 1. Despite hearing Homelander speak briefly in the teaser, the few words uttered do not provide enough clues to determine the voice actor’s identity, adding to the mystery surrounding the character.

As the final guest character in Mortal Kombat 1’s first Kombat Pass, Homelander will be the fifth out of six characters added to the roster through the expansion. Preceded by the likes of Omni-Man, Quan Chi, Peacemaker, and Ermac, Homelander’s introduction marks a significant addition to the game’s lineup. The upcoming character Takeda is set to close out the pass’s content later this year, completing the roster expansion.

Mortal Kombat 1 is currently available on multiple platforms, including Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC, providing a wide audience with the opportunity to experience the game and its compelling guest characters. The Kombat Pass, which includes Homelander and other additional content, is also available for purchase as a standalone option or bundled in the premium editions of the game, adding value for players looking to enhance their gaming experience. With anticipation building for the arrival of Homelander and the completion of the Kombat Pass, Mortal Kombat 1 continues to captivate players with its unique roster and thrilling gameplay.
