Bandai Namco recently announced the launch date for Gundam Breaker 4 in a new “release date trailer” that was released earlier this week. The highly anticipated game is set to be available locally on 29th August 2024. The trailer showcases a new and improved way to break, build, and battle like never before. Players will have the opportunity to build their very own Gunpla using parts from a vast collection of kits and explore the deepest customization options ever seen in the series. The game promises robust and frenetic combat, allowing players to test their builds in various missions.

Introduction of Gundam Breaker 4

For fans who may have missed the initial announcement, Bandai Namco revealed Gundam Breaker 4 for the Switch and other platforms during Nintendo’s Partner Showcase earlier in the year. The game is expected to launch worldwide at some point in 2024. Gundam Breaker 4 introduces the concept of creating the ultimate Gunpla, allowing players to deploy their customized creations in combat missions. By defeating enemies and acquiring their parts, players can equip new skills and create unique customizations. The game offers an extensive selection of over 250 base kits to mix and match parts, providing the biggest variety of mobile suits and parts in any Gundam Breaker game to date.

Closed Network Tests and Features

Leading up to the official release, Bandai Namco has announced closed network tests in Japan scheduled for 15th March and 17th March. These tests will include a “visual lobby” for up to 24 players, an online multiplayer mode for three units featuring three quests and three difficulties, and the ability to customize 20 different units. Additionally, a special “Gundam Breaker News Station” broadcast in Japan showcased more than 25 minutes of gameplay footage, giving fans a closer look at the upcoming title.
