Warner Bros. Games has recently made an exciting announcement regarding a new addition to Quidditch Champions – the Triwizard Quidditch Cup. This feature will include special pitches themed around Hogwarts, Beauxbatons, and Durmstrang. Players in the game’s career mode will have the opportunity to progress all the way to the Triwizard Quidditch Cup, where they can choose from one of the three schools and compete against iconic characters from each school.

Unique Team Representation

In this new addition, players can look forward to representing their chosen school alongside characters such as Cedric Diggory, Ron Weasley, and Harry Potter himself for Hogwarts. Additionally, Fleur Delacour will be representing Beauxbatons, while Viktor Krum will headline the Durmstrang squad. This will be the first instance of a Quidditch tournament between the three schools, offering a unique and exciting gameplay experience for fans of the Wizarding World.

Imagined Quidditch Teams

The developers at Unbroken Studios took creative liberties when imagining what each school’s Quidditch teams might look like. For example, the Beauxbatons team will compete on “finely crafted” brooms and play on a “perfectly manicured” pitch to match the school’s aesthetic. On the other hand, the Durmstrang squad will be seen competing on “sturdy brooms in harsh conditions,” reflecting the school’s intense vibe and atmosphere. The attention to detail in creating each team and pitch adds depth and immersion to the gameplay experience.

The Beauxbatons pitch will be set in the picturesque Pyrenees mountains in the south of France, providing a scenic backdrop for matches. In contrast, the Durmstrang pitch will be set in the far northern reaches of Europe, with matches taking place at night under the beautiful aurora borealis. The developers have incorporated Viking-inspired architecture and a frozen-over black stone pitch to capture the essence of Durmstrang’s mysterious and secretive nature.

Quidditch Champions is the latest addition to the Harry Potter gaming universe, following the success of Hogwarts Legacy. The game is set to launch digitally on September 3 for console and PC, with a physical edition for Xbox and PlayStation releasing on November 8. A version of the game for Switch will follow later in the year, offering a variety of platforms for players to enjoy the magical world of Quidditch.

Although controversial author J.K. Rowling is not directly involved with Quidditch Champions, her work continues to influence and shape the Wizarding World universe. It is important to support trans creators and donate to charities that promote inclusivity and diversity within the gaming community. By uplifting marginalized voices and supporting meaningful causes, we can create a more welcoming and inclusive environment for all players.

The addition of the Triwizard Quidditch Cup to Quidditch Champions offers an exciting new gameplay experience for fans of Harry Potter and the Wizarding World. With unique team representations, imaginative settings, and immersive gameplay features, players can look forward to experiencing the thrill of Quidditch like never before. Get ready to take to the skies and compete for glory in the magical world of Quidditch Champions.
